Michelle Segarra

HR and Training Manager

Meet Michelle Segarra, our dedicated HR and Training Manager at Synergy Family Services. Michelle brings over 5 years of invaluable experience to our team, having been an integral part of our company's growth and success.

Michelle's passion for human resources management is evident in her commitment to professional development. She holds a Management HR Certificate from Prince George's Community College, a testament to her dedication to mastering her craft. Currently, Michelle is actively pursuing her SHRM certification to further enhance her skills and knowledge in the field.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Michelle finds joy in spending quality time with her loved ones. Whether it's creating cherished memories with family or enjoying the company of friends, In her free time, you can often find Michelle immersing herself in the vibrant energy of EDM festivals

Cornelia Savoie, LCSW-C

Administrative Manager

Currently serving as Administrative Manager at Synergy Family Services. She oversees the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC) Program in collaboration with the OMHC Director to encourage strength-based, culturally sensitive comprehensive mental health treatment.With a background as a Therapist, Supervisor, Intake Clinician, and Intern Coordinator.

Cornelia has honed her expertise in individual and family clinical therapy, biopsychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, and case management. Cornelia holds a Master of Social Work from The Howard University, with a concentration in Direct Practice and specialization in Mental Health. She also earned a Bachelor of Social Work from Western Michigan University, where she majored in Social Work with double minors in Family Life Education and Interdisciplinary Science. Cornelia is a compassionate and dedicated professional committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Christina Kershaw, LCSW-C

Lead Program Development Manager
& Research and Development Coordinator

Christina Kershaw is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) with four years of experience in the mental health field, currently serving as the Program Development Manager and Lead Research and Development Coordinator at Synergy Family Services. In these roles, she brings a dynamic blend of strategic planning, program innovation, and evidence-based practice to the agency’s expanding behavioral health services. Her work focuses on designing and implementing sustainable, high-impact programs that address the evolving needs of the community.

In addition to her leadership role, Christina continues to serve as a contractual therapist and rehabilitation specialist, allowing her to maintain a direct connection to clinical care and bring a client-centered perspective to program development. Her clinical experience enriches her approach to building systems that are ethically sound, trauma-informed, and responsive to the diverse needs of individuals and families.

Rooted in the core values of social work, Christina is deeply committed to upholding ethical practice and promoting wellness at every level of care. Compassionate and driven, she is passionate about shaping innovative services that align with Synergy Family Services’ mission to empower, support, and uplift those it serves with culturally competent services.
