EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Licensed mental health professional; or

• Rehabilitation counselor certified by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification; or

• Bachelor’s prepared certified psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner certified by the U.S. Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association.

• At least 2 years of direct care experience working with emotionally disturbed youth

• At least 2 years of supervisory experience

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and assure rehabilitation services that reflect and meet the needs of the individuals served by the program;

• Ensure the development of client-specific, culturally appropriate intervention strategies including goal setting, planning, and decision making;

• Provide oversight for the daily program of rehabilitation services;

• Provide training and supervision to direct care staff during their initial orientation and throughout their tour of service;

• Educate direct care staff on how to provide rehabilitation services that correlate to the goals identified in the Individual Rehabilitation Plan and how to appropriately document such services;

• Hire and evaluate direct care staff;

• Review documentation of services, assessments, IRPs, summaries, and reports;

• Perform crisis intervention and complete Unusual Incident reports, as necessary;

• Participate in clinical training, treatment team meetings, and staff meetings;

• Collaborate and communicate with SFS staff and the ASO to obtain service authorizations; and

• All other duties necessary to fulfill program operations
