Scope of Service

Program Overview
Purpose and Objectives:
The Supported Employment Program at Synergy Family Services is designed to empower individuals living with serious and persistent mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and other behavioral health challenges to achieve meaningful, competitive, and integrated employment. The program prioritizes client-driven outcomes and trauma-informed practices to promote long-term recovery, social inclusion, and economic independence.
Communities we serve:
This program serves transition-age youth and adults with behavioral health needs, including those enrolled in Synergy’s Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC), Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP), and clients referred through the Maryland Behavioral Health Administration (BHA), Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS), or community-based organizations.
Geographic Area Served:
Synergy Family Services’ Supported Employment Program is available to individuals residing in Prince George’s County, Maryland. The program is designed to be community-based, offering services throughout the county to ensure equitable access across both urban and suburban areas. Service delivery may occur in a variety of settings, including the individual’s home, the employer’s worksite, or other community locations, depending on the preferences and needs of the participant.
